End of Kak Pah

I ve been telling about Kak Pah in my writings. I am going to miss her.....

My trip to Bangkok was a brief one and unplanned. Lucky enough though. I got to know that Kak Pah will be going back to her home town at Nakhon Si Thammarat next week. The "joint" will be taken over by her friends.

Well Kak Pah, though I cant understand you completely due to my limited "pha:sa Thai"...I do feel sad. You had fed me well in Bangkok..and most part - I ll miss all the phone numbers that you had supplied.

You have been the hub connecting people in the Soi....and life will not be the same without you.

Where ever you go - I wish you all the best - Chokdee ja:.

Weekend Cooking - Gaeng Kew Wa:n

I really look forward to the weekend as I am going to try cooking the Green Curry. I tried this recipe once, only to get remarks from my Thai friends - it is not Green Curry although I use the Green Curry paste. Mine is more - Masak Lemak Cili Api - Malaysian version.

Later that I learned that the secret is in the texture as well as the basil leave - well that what i had figured after sampling the green curry from its birth place.

However, I finally managed to cook the real Green Curry - Kak Pah style. This time, I varied the curry with the Winter Melon and lots of Basil Leaves as I am not so into the bamboo shouts.

Finally the Bag Gave Up

Finally, my travel bag gave up on me. After 2 years..it cant hold my belongings anymore.

It means also that it had been 2 years, I have an exciting career - meeting people from around the region, working closely with people with different cultures and making new friends.

The cost - it is just not the price of my new bags that I just bought - In those exciting 2 years, I had fair share in loosing friendship and love, important gathering of family, and non-committal relationship.

If the bag can talk, surely it had cursed me for pushing it too hard.

Well...this what I had choose..I just have to keep walking ahead..bags can be replaced!

My Attempt to Write

I am so lazy to write. Writing had never been my passion. Even during my university time, I don't really took down notes. I always wonder how people can write so nicely.

So in my attempt to put my thoughts, my life experiences, my encounters while traveling around working, I choose to start here - writing. ... please God give me the passion to this Sanguine.
